Contracts and schemas

contracts/v2/ contains JSON Schema 2020-12 boundaries shared by Click, Host, plugins, widgets, and agents. Schemas reject unknown public fields. Valid fixtures must pass and invalid fixtures must fail in repository QA.

Important authorities include:

  • plugin manifest, command, status, and causal event schemas;
  • capability and workspace/panel definitions;
  • paired Click action requests and correlated results;
  • proto/hpp2.proto, the sole HPP/2 wire contract;
  • sdk/GENERATION.json, the pinned cross-language artifact manifest.

Breaking public changes require a new contract directory. Capability versions evolve independently from repository contract versions.

The paired-action schema registers only explicit action IDs. No arbitrary browser automation or Host URL execution is routable through that channel.
